Introduction
My name is DaSean M. Dykes and I currently serve as the Business Office Supervisor for Midtown/Mercy HealthPlex in Fairfield, Ohio which is a suburban area in the city of Cincinnati. For contacting purposes, my active email addresses are as follows: [email protected], and [email protected]. I can also be reached in my office at (513) 682-1203 – ext. 1203. The street address of my occupation is as follows: Mercy HealthPlex Fairfield, 3050 Mack Road, Fairfield, OH 45014. Personal Information My general responsibilities pertain to overseeing and completing the Accounts Payables, and Accounts Receivables so any upcoming or outstanding bills from any of the companies that need to be paid are taken care by me. I also develop goals and objectives which will assist in the growth and prosperity of the company, maintain relationships with partners, vendors, and suppliers, gather, analyze, interpret external and internal data, and conjure up membership and financial reports, supervise the work of employees and provide feedback and counsel to improve efficiency and effectiveness, and assess overall company performance against objectives. In this occupation, I enjoy the abundant flexibility, weekly, quarterly, and annual meetings to update the associates on what’s transpiring in the company. I also enjoy the overall knowledge that is gained from the day-to-day operations; constantly learning new material or implementing something that you do particularly well into a company project is beneficial. Currently, the room or opportunity for advancement is minimal. There aren’t any avenues throughout the company for promotions which means you’re confined to your standard position for an extended amount of time until you’re fortunate enough to be asked to interview for a position of higher magnitude. The hours and attire are pretty straightforward. The dress code for individuals like myself in a managerial role consists of business casual wear. Garments such as ties, collard-shirts, dress pants, quarter zip sweatshirts, vests, bowties, and things of that nature are acceptable. My work week is typically the standard forty-hours per week sometimes exceeding the forty-hour mark if the workload is immense. As the Business Office Supervisor, I oversee nearly everything in the club, but I do not possess any direct reports meaning that three or more employees don’t directly report to me for anything – the department manager is their direct manager. My compensation is monitored hourly, and the healthcare benefits cover everything from medial to dental. This, however isn’t provided until the employee has been employed by the company for six months or more. A bachelor’s degree in business administration is required, and at least a year of experience working in a business office environment is recommended. Industry Information The turnover rate in the sales department is unusually high as employees in that department tend to become intimidated and rather weary of the monthly sales goals, both unit and revenue-based. The turnover throughout the company as a whole is relatively low seeing the highest rates in membership and front desk roles. The salaries range anywhere from $20,000 to $100,000+ annually with the generous $100,000+ salaries being allocated to those who’ve been with the company for a decade or more and those who have earned college degrees (i.e. Bachelor’s, Master’s, Doctorate). |
